Newborn photography
in London
My newborn sessions are calm, slow, and always led by your baby. And just as importantly, they’re led by you too, with all the emotions and adjustments that come with those early days of motherhood.
There’s nothing special you need to prepare. You don’t need to deep clean, redecorate, or turn your home upside down before I arrive. Your space is already enough. If there’s anything I need to move around to create a beautiful setting, I’ll take care of it, so you don’t have to think about it at all.
These sessions leave plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes, soothing, and pauses whenever you need them. There’s no rushing, no pressure, and no expectation for things to go a certain way.
Documenting your
first days together
My role is to quietly photograph your new life together, not just how it looked, but how it felt. All the closeness, tired cuddles, tiny details of your baby that change so quickly. The way you’re slowly learning each other, day by day.
This is your chance to be in the photos too, in a very real and honest way. As you hold your baby, feed them, rock them, or simply sit together, the camera fades into the background. When that happens, the moments that matter most naturally find their way into the photographs.

She captured the most beautiful family images
“Ania totally put me at ease when she came to our home for newborn photos. She captured the most beautiful family images (including our cat!) and I’m so grateful to have photos we’ll treasure forever.”

FAQ
When should I book a newborn session?
It’s best to book while you’re still pregnant. We’ll park your due date in my calendar and then confirm an exact session date once your baby arrives and you feel like having a photographer in your house.
There’s no pressure to rush or decide anything while you’re recovering. We stay flexible and plan the session when you feel ready.
What if my baby cries, needs feeding, or won’t settle?
That’s completely expected. Newborn sessions are built around your baby’s needs.
We pause whenever you need to feed, change, or soothe them. There’s no pressure to keep going or “get through” anything. I assure you, even if we have only small windows between cries we can still create a beautiful gallery with variety of photos.
Do I need to tidy my house or prepare anything?
No. Please don’t stress about that.
You don’t need a perfect home or a nursery that’s ready. I’ll work with the light and the space you have, and I can gently move things around if needed. Only thing I really need is natural light, but I assume you have windows in your house 😉
Can siblings or pets be included in the session?
Yes, absolutely.
Newborn sessions can include siblings and pets if that feels right for your family. Everything is kept relaxed and gentle, and we follow the energy of the moment. There’s no expectation for siblings to sit still or perform. We work with what unfolds naturall
I feel exhausted and emotional. Will I be expected to pose or look a certain way?
Not at all.
You don’t need to perform, smile on cue, or feel “camera ready”. I’ll gently guide you when needed, help with simple positioning, and focus on moments that feel natural and comfortable. The goal is for you to feel held and supported, not judged or directed.
Does my baby need to be under two weeks old?
No. There’s no strict age limit here.
I don’t work to a “baby must be X days old” rule. Some families choose to photograph those very early days, others wait a little longer until things feel more settled. The best time is always when you feel ready, both physically and emotionally.
What should we wear for a newborn session?
Keep it simple. You really don’t need anything special.
For your baby, I love photographing them just as they are. Often that means being in just a nappy for part of the session, or in very simple, neutral clothing. This allows us to capture all those tiny details that change so quickly, like their skin, their hands and feet, the way they curl up on you. No special outfits are needed at all.
For you, we’re in your home, so the goal is for everything to feel natural and comfortable. Your usual clothes are perfect. Soft fabrics, neutral tones, and things you already feel good in work best. There’s no need to buy anything new.
We’ll talk this through on a call before the session, so you’re not left guessing. I’ll guide you on what works well, and if you’d like, you’re also welcome to borrow something from my client wardrobe. I have a small selection of dresses you can use if that feels helpful.
The focus is always on you and your baby, not on outfits.
